‘Tis the Season for end of year countdowns… my top 11 of 2011…
p>
Everyone else is doing it…counting down the top moments, discoveries and highlights of the year. I took a moment to reflect upon my top 11 of 2011– Even if no one ever reads this, it was still a great exercise to take a look back and gather gratitude for the moments that flew by so quickly. You should try it! Here it goes…. 11. Weddings. So many great memories! From my best friend Jessica in Cabo, to watching my little brother get hitched– it was so special to be a part of them!               10. Favorite New Music (to me anyway) I would like to award Florence and the Machine as my artist of the year.  I just...

LONELINESS: BANE OF THE CHRISTIAN SINGLE
p>It’s no question I battle with loneliness.  I am just on of many millions that feels isolated and alone on a planet of billions of people. I pray against it, try to learn more about the root cause of loneliness and boldly stand on God’s word regarding the issue.   This is a great study to have if you battle with the same prison of loneliness. As it has lifted me up– so I hope it does for you…..       LONELINESS: BANE OF THE CHRISTIAN SINGLE by Dr. Ken Matto The subject of this study is loneliness. It is really amazing in a world of 6 billion people that loneliness can be so pandemic. I want to deal with some symptoms and causes of...

Challenging day = desire to eat crap … why?
p>It was a super rough day yesterday. I would call it challenging rather.   (I have no place to call it rough– my stresses are still positive and a blessing, just over-committed and disorganized, nothing that can not be changed I feel too blessed to put a negative spin on it– but it was a challenge. Do you have those days where you feel overwhelmed? I totally did. I felt not only overwhelmed by my commitments but also felt resentful. (To whom or what I am unsure, but I am pretty sure I felt all kinds of resentment! yuk!) So after this challenging day, all I could think of doing is straying from my clean eating, vegan lifestyle and killing some fried...

Need Help! Vegan Breakfast ideas…
p>So, on my quest to fill my body with healthy, whole, animal free goodness.. I have came across a significant barrier… it is called: Breakfast! Usually– I’m down for some Organic Peanut Butter and low sugar jelly on whole wheat bread with a diet mt dew to start my day… How nutrituous can that be?  I am like a 5 year old gone wild, right? SO.. what is a girl to eat when I awake? I found this post: on TheKitchn But the 10 they list seem definitely weird and not at all what I would like to eat in the morning.  I used to eat breakfast bars everyday– but I can get burnt out on those for sure.   I am going to do some messing in the kitchen...

conversations about the “M” word ….

conversations about the “M” word ….
p>conversations about the “M” word – is relentless love attainable on this Earth? My back is starting to peel a bit, but my tan from Cabo is still going strong.  That trip was so amazing.  To see my best friend, marry her best friend, really got my heart and head stirring. And even today…a week of being home, I can not stop trying to understand what happened to my heart while I was there.   To be single for so long, and be at this age, and to go thru the awkward relationships I have had in the past (me being the awkward piece) I have concluded for the last few years that the M word, “Marriage” really might not be for me…...
